Magnesium silicate is white to off-white fine powder with a relative density of 3.21g/cm 3 and a melting point of 1890℃. Magnesium silicate is a compound of magnesium oxide and silicon. It is a magnesium salt of silicic acid, contains a certain amount of water, and has many uses in the cosmetic industry, the food industry, and the pharmaceutical industry.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, magnesium silicate is recognized as a Generally Recognized Safe Substance (GRAS) for use as an anti-caking agent.
Approved in the European Union as a food additive (E553A).
Feature
1. Mainly used as acid medicine, can neutralize gastric acid and protect ulcer surface, mainly used for gastric and duodenal ulcer disease.
2. Sliding modifier - increase the spread of other ingredients.
3. Viscosity control agent - maintain or change the viscosity of the liquid, mainly used in cosmetics.
4. Anti-caking agent - prevents excessive moisture from forming clumps in food. They usually act as water repellents or absorb excess water.
5. Absorbent - Absorbs liquid.
Preparation method
The invention relates to a preparation method of magnesium silicate porous ceramics, which is characterized in that it comprises the following steps: 1) taking MgO raw materials for forging and firing to eliminate CO2 and moisture, and drying SiO2; 2) Mix magnesium oxide and silicon dioxide, ball milling, to obtain magnesium oxide and silicon dioxide mixed powder; 3) the mixed powder of magnesium oxide and silicon dioxide is dried, sieved, pre-burned, ball milling, then dried and re-sieved to obtain magnesium silicate powder; 4) The ceramic slurry is prepared by mixing the magnesium silicate powder with the premixed liquid, adding corn starch and dispersant to the ceramic slurry, then ball milling, adding catalyst and initiator, mixing and injecting into the mold to obtain the forming body; 5) After the molding body is demoulded and sintered, magnesium silicate porous ceramics are obtained.
